Donna Rowan

Donna Jane Rowan and the late Dorothy Henshaw.
We met Wannettas at Birkdale Place Retirement Home in Milton. We all became friends. An amazingly talented craftsperson. Her dolls were incredible. She loved the jewelry that I made and would quite often give me a piece of hers to fix. We all shared a table for meals and Mom and Wannetta became the Grilled Cheese Girls. When there wasn't anything on the menu that they fancied...they would always order Grilled Cheese.
My love and thoughts go with her family and friends. I will always remember her.

To Wannetta's family and friends...I had the privilege of meeting Wannetta at Birkdale and I agree with her step-daughter Linda's comments. Wannetta was smart, well read and a pleasure to liaise with, always grateful for the small things we could do to make her life easier once she needed help. With great respect on the passing of fine lady. Laurie MacNab

Wannetta was my step-mother but she always was just a Mother to me. I adored her the first time I met her. She was full of sunshine and sweetness and intelligence. She was kind to everyone and I have come to love her very much! She had an unlimited capacity for love and caring for others and was always cheerful no matter what her circumstances were. She loved her Savior, Jesus Christ and was always a good example of Him! She will be missed by so many, myself included. Linda Thomas
