Obituary for Betty Ann Harris (Markie)

Harris (Markie), Betty Ann

September 03, 1952 - June 17, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Ann after a brief battle with cancer on Monday June 17, 2019 at Hospice Wellington in Guelph. Loving mother of Jim, Rob (Kim), Jen and Joe (Beth). Grandma to Kyle, Dylan, Mackenzie and Kesik. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Jenny Harris and sister Georgina. Cherished sister of Jim, Pearl, Donna (Don), and Diane (Rob). She will be fondly remembered by family and friends. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, in Betty’s memory, donations to the Hospice Wellington of Guelph or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated by the family.

Pearl Harris

I will always remember the good times in Acton. You had a big house and a big heart. We had great times playing euchre and cribbage while our kids ran about and had fun together. Your door was always open. I will keep those memories close in my heart.

Aunt Betty I will miss you very much. I had many many good memories staying at your house in Acton with my cousins. I also remember camping the blue grass clams and tea kettle camping. You and your sisters did a great job at keeping our families together. In your memory our generation should spend more time together. You will be greatly missed.
