GENG, Frank
December 1, 1927 – May 4, 2019

Peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019 with his family by his side, at the Brampton Civic Hospital, at the age of 91 years. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife of 61 years, Vilma. Loving father of Joe (Julie) and Tony (Anne). Proud Grandfather to Xavier, Sebastien, Charlotte, Lydia and Philip. He was a good brother-in-law to Elizabeth Kutsan. He was a caring uncle to Bernie (Gabi) here in Canada, and will also be remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews in Hungary. He was predeceased by his son Frank Jr., parents Antal and Maria Windeisen, brother Antal and sister Maria. Frank loved his family with all his heart. He had a passion for his work, and had a deep connection with the towns of Acton Ontario and Point Leamington Newfoundland. His business grew to protect millions of workers hands all around the world. He will be remembered for the many lives he touched, in his long and accomplished life.

Friends will be received at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, 55 Mill Street E, Acton, on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm, and 7 to 9 pm. A private family funeral will be held.
Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Georgetown Hospital, would be appreciated by the family.

Vilma, Tony and Joe, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Frank. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Frank had a heart of gold and was as honest as anyone could ever be. He was very witty and had quite the sense of humor which made him the true character he was. He will always be remembered and never forgotten.

I remember the day I met Frank Geng almost 13 years ago.. I was nervous and excited at the same time. I live in Edmonton and when I went for my orientation at world head quarters (much different than it is now). At one point I found myself walking down the hallway alone towards Frank MacDonald’s office and approaching me form the opposite way was Frank Geng. He was looking at me as if he was saying in his mind “who da heck is this?”
Sure enough he stopped and asked, “who the heck are you?” - I’m not sure where it came from but I replied, “I’m the new western hope from Edmonton.” He looked at me for a split second and started laughing, didn’t say anything else and then kept on his way. It was another year before I had the chance to meet him again and we sat down and got to know each other a bit more and shared some memories of Edmonton. I looked up to and respected him a great deal. He is an amazing man and I will always remember that wry smile of his and the look in his eye. The world is a better place for us because of him. His legacy, memory and the reason I am a Glover, will remain.
My family’s heart and love is with the entire Geng family. Bless you all.
